Briggs Nature Center at the Conservancy

Naples Pier

Built in 1888 as a boat dock, the 1,000-foot-long Naples Pier has been through
a lot. Portions of it survived a fire from 1926, and it has been rebuilt
after three hurricanes nearly destroyed it. Call the county recreation department

Located on five acres of land, the Collier County Museum reviews the history
of the Naples area. It includes a botanical and orchid garden, an extensive
wildlife and marine gallery, and collection of artifacts.

With a shop, museum, and a window to witness glass-making in action, Glas
Paradies is the home of Victor Alexander Glass Works, maker of unique glass
pieces. All pieces are hand-blown in the workshop, with everything from Christmas
ornaments to figurines and trophies. The museum gives a history of glass
and glass-making.

The Naples Philharmonic symphony orchestra plays in the Philharmonic Center
for the Arts. It hosts theater, dance, classical and popular music venues.

Sugden Community Theatre

With a 326-main theater, intimate black box studio theater, and outdoor
amphitheater, the Sugden Community Theatre performs various contemporary
musicals, dramas, and comedies. They perform throughout the year except for

In addition to offering art classes, Von Liebig Community Arts Center displays
the work of south Florida and American artists from the 1950s to today. Many
exhibits focus on new works in mixed media and photography, and all are open
to the public for free.

Collier-Seminole State Park

With trails winding through 300,000 acres of land, the Conservancy of Southwest
Florida features a nature center that documents and discusses Florida's native
ecosystems. Visitors can also rent kayaks and canoes, or take a guided boat

Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Recreational Park

Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Recreational Park sits just north of Naples and
hosts Australian pines and mangrove trees. Visitors can follow a boardwalk
to the beach, stop at various picnic areas, and see wildlife unique to the
area.
Everglades National Park

The largest remaining subtropical wilderness in the United States, the immense
Everglades National Park can be explored by renting non-motorized watercraft
or b y going on a tour. Much of its wildlife includes endangered species,
including the American crocodile and Florida panther. It sits southeast of
Collier-Seminole State Park.

Naples main natural attraction is its beaches. From either side of the
1,000-foot-long Naples Pier, you find clean white sand, lined with palm trees,
