Palm Springs Aerial Tramway
After departing Valley Station, the tram ascends to the Mountain Station, at an elevation of more than 8,500 feet. A variety of recreational activities await you at the top of the mountain; the 14,000-acre Mt. San Jacinto State Park offers 54 miles of hiking trails, campgrounds, a ranger station, and an Adventure Center. The Adventure Center—open mid-November through mid-April (snow conditions permitting)—rents cross-country skis and snowshoes. Mountain Station features two viewpoints, two restaurants, a cocktail lounge, gift shop, Natural History Museum, and a theater showing a special documentary on the history of the tramway. Please allow at least 2 hours to explore Mountain Station and the Adventure Center. More>>
